This does not look like a mass shutdown of Haidilao branches in S'pore, but to optimise resources owing to labour costs, rising rents and shifting market conditions. Closures in the past year of the Clarke Quay, Bedok, Pasir Ris, Punggol and Downtown East outlets are because they were not as profitable as those still open.
