JOHOR BARU: A philandering husband paid the ultimate price for his infidelity when he was stabbed to death by his own son in their Taman Nusa Bestari home today.
The 17-year-old had apparently discovered that his father had been unfaithful to his mother. At 11am today, the teenager confronted his father, 45, in an upstairs bedroom.
A heated argument then broke out between father and son. A scuffle broke out, which ended with the teen stabbing his father in the chest with a kitchen knife.
The badly injured man somehow managed to make his way down to the living room, leaving a trail of blood behind him.
Police later found him dead on the living room floor.
Iskandar Puteri district police chief, Assistant Commissioner Noor Hashim Mohamad, said police were notified of an incident in the house and sent a response team.
After initial investigation, the teenager was arrested, together with his 40-year-old mother.
“We believe she was also involved in abetting in the murder,” he said.
Both mother and son are expected to be remanded tomorrow in court to enable further investigation.
The case has been classified under Section 302 of the Penal Code as murder. © New Straits Times Press (M) Bhd
