Footage has emerged showing a driver texting while hanging out of the window of his wrecked Lamborghini just moments after he allegedly mowed down three people, killing one, in Surabaya.
According to the Jakarta Post, 24-year-old Wiyang Lautner was detained by police after he allegedly lost control of his supercar while racing against a Ferrari in an illegal street race.
Witnesses said Lautner’s Lamborghini hit middle-aged couple Srikanti, 41, and her husband Kuswanto, 51, who were buying milk from a street vendor waiter named Mujianto, 44, in the port city in East Java.
They also told the newspaper that the car dragged Kuswanto’s body for several metres before crashing into a tree.
In the grisly footage below, filmed by onlookers in the aftermath of the fatal crash, Lautner can be seen texting and speaking on his phone as he attempts to climb out of the wrecked car.
