The 60th anniversary of the formation of the Japan Air Self-Defense Force's 8th Flying Team. The 8th Flying Team is currently based in the Sanze Base.
[Text / Observer Network Guo Guangkai] The Japan Broadcasting Association (NHK) quoted the Ministry of Defense on February 20th. A Japanese Air Self-Defense Force F-2 fighter jet was trained at the Japanese Sea Air near Yamaguchi Prefecture at 9:18 local time. The left and right sides lost contact with the ground and the aircraft disappeared from the radar.

According to preliminary information, the plane was from the Zhucheng base in Fukuoka Prefecture, and there were two people on board. The latest news said that the two pilots were rescued in the nearby waters and were aware.

The F-2 is based on the US F-16 fighter aircraft. It is jointly developed by Japan and the United States. It is produced by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries of Japan and is divided into single-seat A-type and double-seat B-type. The F-2 produced a total of 94 aircraft, mainly for the third aviation regiment in Sanze, the eighth aviation regiment in Zhucheng, and the fourth aviation regiment in Songdo. The 4th Air Group of Songdo Island was close to the sea by the base. In the "311 Earthquake" in 2011, the whole group of aircraft suffered a catastrophe.
