Japanese porn star Sora Aoi reveals that she’s pregnant on Weibo, shuts down the haters
"I've heard people say: 'She can't get pregnant. If she has a baby, the child will be very pitiful,'" Aoi wrote.

The Chinese internet is sending out its congratulations to Sora Aoi after the iconic Japanese porn star announced on Weibo that she is pregnant.
Aoi has been called the most famous Japanese person in China, nicknamed “Teacher Aoi” by her fans in the country for serving as the primary source of sex education for an entire generation of Chinese men. Though she retired from the adult video industry in 2011, Aoi’s popularity has not waned in China where she makes a number of visits each year. The Chinese government has even been forced to crack down on her appearances and ban her from being shown on television.
Earlier this year, Aoi shattered millions of hearts by announcing that she had gotten hitched. “He’s not handsome and he’s not rich,” Aoi wrote at the time. “But he accepts my past life.”
The 35-year-old had another big announcement on Tuesday for her more than 19 million followers on Weibo, revealing that she is five months pregnant. In her post, Aoi predicted the sort of snide comments that would come with her announcement considering her former line of work.
”I’ve heard people say: ‘She can’t get pregnant. If she has a baby, the child will be very pitiful,'” Aoi wrote. “Why have a child? Because I want a child! Obviously, I will put the child’s future first… I will work hard! I want to be a good mother.”
Aoi also included a picture of herself with her husband in the post.
Underneath the post, the top comments are all positive, congratulating Aoi on the good news and declaring their belief that she will be a great mother.
Though she might want to avoid dressing up her little bundle of joy in a red scarf. Aoi last made the news in China for appearing at a charity event in rural Yunnan province with one such scarf, an article of clothing that is associated with China’s Young Pioneers, a patriotic youth organization for kids between the ages of 6 and 14 that is run by the Communist Youth League. The color of the scarves is meant to represent the blood of those martyrs who fought to establish the People’s Republic of China.
When photos of Aoi in the red scarf hit the Chinese internet back in August, scandal ensued, ending this month with the Shanghai-based male sex products company who hosted the event getting hit with a 1 million yuan fine.
