I was shopping at Funan today. Saw this maid cafe. Hmm.. the watressess all dressed in Japanese Maid Uniform and their funrniture are cute too.

They look more like typical southern Chinese or Southeast Asian (or even Singaporean) Chinese...

Anyway, their accents and bearing would reveal their true ethnicities! haha

Not too long ago, there was a Japanese steamboat (shabu shabu) restaurant at Iluma.

It had waitresses in French maid uniforms.

I went there once. The food was average, the service was not-too-good. And the maid-waitresses were mainly PRC and Pinays. All looked like shit.

Not impressed, never went there again. Turns out it closed down not long after.

I only want REAL Japanese women, with real Japanese accent and manners!

But the idea is novel.

It may be new in Singapore, but not in Japan nor among the Japanese in Singapore.
So in order to be TRULY new, maybe it should be renamed as "Singaporean Maids"! LOL

Only problem is that they skirt are not short enough!!

Personally, I think what's more important is whether their legs look good enough! LOL
Otherwise, I'd rather they just wear a long "Sarong Kebaya", like the uniform of SIA's "Singapore Girls":
