It's Hairy Crab Season

For those of us who couldn't travel to Yangchenghu to have this seasonal crab there are quite a few good restaurants here who carry this. One is East Ocean in Ngee Ann City 5th level. This restaurant is very crowded during dinners and weekends advisable to make reservations.

Probably the best in town for this

Oh forgot to say if need to bring abroad East Ocean will pack very nicely with ice at the bottom to keep cool but cannot for long 3-4hrs is ok



Went to SQ lounge to replace the ice cubes with new ones just in case

Been to Suzhou previously and tried the crabs, nothing to shout about. Give me Eng Seng black pepper crab anytime, Uncle Leong's 金沙蟹 also can.

Actually in Thailand one can buy the hairy crab like in Paragon supermarket. Last week bought 6 pieces from there





and steamed them over the weekend



of course it is much cheaper than you eat in a restaurant
