Chicago Islamic scholar Mohammad Nusairat said in a November 14, 2025 lecture that Islam is not meant to coexist with other religions, explaining: “Islam is raised high, and nothing is raised above Islam.” He said that Islam is not a religion among other religions that have a share of truth, justice, and correct worship of Allah, and he asserted that Islam has come to correct all of that and “remove the oppression of all those religions.” He added: “It is the only truth, and it is the only way to justice.”
The video was posted on the YouTube channels of Men of the Ummah, a Chicago-based organization “dedicated to cultivating Muslim men,” and the associated Noon Islamic Center, located in Hoffman Estates, IL. It is worth noting that several speakers at the Men of the Ummah events and the Noon Islamic Center are associated with Hizb ut-Tahrir. For more about Mohammad Nusairat, see MEMRI TV clips Nos. 12410 and 11169.
Mohammad Nusairat: “Unfortunately, these days we don’t repeat this enough, or we don’t have this doctrinal concept firm in our minds – that Islam did not come to coexist.
“[The Prophet Muhammad said:] ‘Islam is always superior and should never be surpassed.’ Islam is raised high, and nothing is raised above Islam.
“We can’t think of Islam that it came to live with these other religions in the sense that Islam is a religion amongst those religions, and they have a share with the truth, and they have a share of justice, and they have a share of the correct worship Allah. Islam came to correct all of that. Islam came to remove the oppression of all those religions, and it is the only truth, and it is the only way to justice.”
