That's a load of bull. Many cancers are not diagnosed till stage 4 which means they have already spread throughout the body without any biopsies being performed.

However it is true that biopsies may speed up the process of metastasis. This is especially so for prostate cancer where piercing the prostate with multiple needles in order to gauge the extent of the cancer is actually making things a lot worse.

Yes he could well be gone and that would mean he wouldn't be suffering through yet another round of chemo that does nothing to cure the cancer but definitely depletes your financial reserves and leaves less for surviving dependents.

I'm not saying that chemo does not extend life but it certainly does not extend living a pleasant existence.

I've seen stage 4 with my own eyes.... a huge growth in the abdomen... ie the primary site plus lumps on both sides of the neck, armpit and groin. You don't need a scan of any sort to know that the cancer is all over the body.

Ok. Point noted. Guess it's probably more practicable for the cancer to run its course rather than seek treatment if the cancer has already gone regional instead of localized.

It the tumors don't kill why is my good friend dead? He opted for no treatment ie palliative care only. He lasted 4 months more and passed away in a coma.

Having cancers at various part of the body doesn’t mean it is spreading. Having cancers are just toxins overloaded. Surely, at some point, people will die due to toxicity and the internal organs already malfunction if one never look for any form of cure
