What is this 'cooling off' day in our Sinkgapore erection day? Is it a public holiday? If not why want we Singaporeans to 'cool off'?

If it is not a public holiday, then I definitely will not be able to 'cool off' at all!

if i recall correctly, the GE dates fall on Saturdays, if there's a cooling off date, either Friday becomes a cool-off day or voting falls on Sunday.

better the former than the latter and if cooling off day is designated as a holiday, then are we looking at a long weekend? :p:p:p

It's kinda tactical move, they'll gazette that day a public holiday, believe me. Crowd turn out at oppositon's campaigning during the last election must have worried them. This time around with more internet access, the punch is even harder. I am sure intels of resentment must have reached a level they find it hard to digest.

The 24hrs is for voters to take a cold showel, reflect on what they have, appreciate it, be satisfied and Dont ask for more. "Consider the past, and you shall know the future", the chinese proverb says.:p
