Dogs are man's best friend, and losing them can be a painful experience. According to the Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals or SPCA, 1033 lost dogs were taken in last year. Golden Retrievers, Labradors, Shih Tsu, Maltese and Jack Russell Terriers were the most common breeds received.

Of all the missing dogs, less than half were claimed by their owners and majority had no microchip or identification. How do you prevent your dog from getting lost?
