  George Galloway has warned the US and its allies in the Gulf that if they were to start “World War III” with an attack on Iran they will live to regret it because, unlike Iraq in 2003, they are capable of fighting back.

The Scottish firebrand, who famously took US lawmakers to task over the Iraq war when he testified in front of the senate in 2005, has given his take on the recent ratcheting-up of tension in the Gulf region after Iran shot down a US drone, which, it says, had entered its airspace.
Washington maintains its UAV was shot down while patrolling over international waters in an “unprovoked attack.” On Friday President Donald Trump took to Twitter to claim the US were 10 minutes away from bombing three Iranian sites, before calling off the strikes.

Galloway believes that many Iranians would see it as a great “pleasure to fight the United States and its allies in the region."
In a stark warning to US allies such as Qatar, the UAE and Saudia Arabia, Galloway insisted that any country that allows “its land to be used for the launching for an American attack on Iran will itself be immediately in flames.”
The former Labour MP concludes his passionate message to the world by declaring:

US President Donald Trump doesn’t want war with Iran, but if it happens, there will be “obliteration like you’ve never seen before,” he told NBC, adding that there are “no pre-conditions” for negotiations with Tehran.
“You can’t have nuclear weapons,” Trump said, implying anything else was open to discussion – and if Tehran doesn’t want to talk, “you can live in a shattered economy for a long time to come.” The statements come after Trump said he had cancelled a Thursday night strike on Iran at the last minute in retaliation for the American spy drone shot down over Iranian airspace.

In remarks to NBC’s Meet the Press, scheduled to air on Sunday, the president stressed that learning that “150 Iranians” would be killed if he called for the prepared airstrikes made him think twice, realizing that the deaths would not be “proportionate” to the loss of a single unmanned surveillance vehicle. While planes were not yet in the air, the operation was nearly at the point of no return, he said.
The drone’s demise has set off a number of responses from the US. The Federal Aviation Administration banned all American civil aircraft from flying over Iranian airspace above the Strait of Hormuz and the Gulf of Oman on Thursday, claiming “numerous” planes had been in the area when the surveillance craft was shot down. On Friday, Iraqi military sources reported US contractors were preparing to evacuate Balad Air Base, north of Baghdad, where about 400 Americans currently provide security, training and other basic services for the Iraqi military.
Unlike in previous "attacks" blamed on Tehran, like the mysterious assault on two Japanese-linked oil tankers in the Gulf of Oman earlier this month, Iran immediately claimed responsibility for the downing of the drone, claiming it had been repeatedly warned against entering Iranian airspace and its presence – operating in "stealth mode" – was a violation of international law.
Tensions have been escalating between the US and Iran ever since Trump pulled out of the multilateral nuclear deal in May 2018 and re-imposed sanctions, despite Tehran holding up its end of the bargain.

[环球军事快评 梳理天下大事]伊朗用一枚国产防空导弹，让美军全球鹰战略无人侦察机在全球首次折翼。美国总统却自己给自己找了个不是坡的坡，硬是下了驴，他说：幸好被击落的无人机里面没有人。对此，有人慨叹，那个有仇必报、说一不二、动辄动武的雄雄霸主，居然沦落到了如此境地；还有人将此事与冷战时期苏联和中国击落U-2战略侦察机相提并论。
那么，伊朗如此硬气的根基在哪里？这一事件对当今世界遭受霸凌主义打压的国家有何启示？

其实，伊朗硬气了可不止一次两次，其惊人之举屡屡让美国措手不及。1979年伊斯兰革命之后，曾公开占领美国驻伊使馆，劫持人质长达444天，1983年被指参与制造美国驻黎巴嫩贝鲁特兵营的爆炸案，造成241名美军丧生，2016年还在波斯湾俘获美军2艘快艇和10名士兵，至于俘获或打掉的美军无人机那也早已不是一架两架。
底气来自实力，硬气来自武力。
首先，经济是基础。伊朗多年来倡导“抵抗性经济”，看重经济的独立自主能力。在遭遇美国为首的西方经济制裁之下，伊朗深知油气资源丰富的国家容易陷入资源陷阱，沦为依赖油气资源出口的原料出口国，因此，积极谋求产业多元化，2014年2月最高精神领袖哈梅内伊正式提出“抵抗型经济总政策”，发展“伊朗制造”，提升经济技术水平。这些措施的实施，提升了经济自主能力，一定程度上减轻了经济严重依赖石油的局面，产业结构日趋优化，比如，伊朗目前是西亚北非地区主要的钢铁生产国，还是仅次于土耳其的中东第二大汽车生产国。
第二，经过多年努力，伊朗初步实现了工业化的目标，相应的，军工制造水平也大幅提升。
伊朗从1992年开始实施武器国产化计划，如今已经建立起伊斯兰世界最全面的军工体系，能自行生产主战坦克、导弹快艇、常规火炮、轻型舰艇、小型潜艇、战斗机以及“流星”系列、“胜利者”系列、“泥石”系列弹道导弹，以及“波斯湾”反舰弹道导弹，关于这款主要用于反介入的反舰导弹，伊朗一位将军曾豪迈地宣称：“伊朗已经有了可以将美国军舰像罐头一样送入水底的导弹”。此外，伊朗还具备自主发射卫星的能力。

第三，对美国的霸权威胁基本不抱幻想，敢于斗争，善于斗争，斗而不破，长期斗争。
美国作为冷战后唯一的超级大国，其中东政策的核心目标之一，就是防止地区性大国的崛起，而伊朗的地区大国雄心从未泯灭，对于美国霸权的本质和美伊关系，伊朗看的很清楚：双方战略目标针锋相对，双方矛盾是结构性的，很难通过妥协退让予以解决。
有人认为美国对伊朗的制裁主要是由伊朗核问题导致的，对此，哈梅内伊早就指出：西方制裁伊朗已经有三十多年了，为什么没有核问题之前，他们仍制裁我们？他清醒地认为，即使伊朗关闭核设施，或允许西方公开盘查和监控，西方仍会提出其他新的问题，比如恐怖主义问题、比如人权问题，美国的真正目的就是持续施压，谋求实现政权更迭，换上对美国俯首听命的傀儡政府。
伊朗前总统更是一针见血：如果这个问题解决了，美国就会提出人权问题，如果人权问题解决了，他们可能又提出动物权问题。
冷酷的事实也印证了这些领导人的预见，伊核协议签署后，伊朗确实依据协议行事，但美国的制裁并未真正解除，反而又借口伊朗研制导弹，不断出台新的制裁，特朗普上台后更是干脆退出了伊核协议，毫无国家信用可言。
近现代以来，伊朗长期遭受外部大国利用、欺凌、孤立和遏制，伊朗破除幻想的同时，也看透了美国的“纸老虎”一面，面对美国的强硬，伊朗屡屡“以超强硬对强硬”，对美国进行反威慑。
伊朗很清楚，如果伊朗“豁出命”来以大无畏的勇气与美国对抗，美国只能退缩。伊朗也很清楚，虽然美国军力依然全球第一，军力遍及全球，但在中东这一地区的军力其实相对有限，尤其是近些年来，美国穷兵黩武、征战无度，陷入战争泥潭正费力自拔，从奥巴马政府开始战略东移、增兵亚太，如今特朗普政府更是强调“大国竞争”，对中国和俄罗斯的打压遏制加码，又急于恢复国内经济，所以美国根本无暇全力对付伊朗。
此外，相对于主动销毁大规模杀伤性武器的萨达姆政权和主动放弃核武器的卡扎菲政权，伊朗很少犯下机会主义的错误。伊朗不会不注意到，当年亲美的埃及穆巴拉克政权，在关键时刻被美国抛弃，伊朗也不会不注意到，身为“北约大家庭”的土耳其埃尔多安政权，差点亡于美国支持的“未遂军事政变”。

有人提出中俄伊铁三角的概念，值得思考。
总而言之，拥有相当军事实力和较为完整军工体系的伊朗，在一贯反美反霸的征程中，它的一些做法和理念，值得他国总结和吸取，而作为目前国际体系中的“正能量”，伊朗还是为数不多的有能力将美国“拖在中东”的战略牵制力量，对于这样的力量，不仅值得我们关注其动态发展，在适当的时候进行适当的“战略互助”和“战略互动”，是很有必要的，无论我们喜欢或不喜欢这个国家。

路透社称伊朗通过阿曼收到了美国总统特朗普连夜发来的信息，内容是警告伊朗即将遭受美国的攻击。

虽然当天美国否认说没有无人机去伊朗侦察，今天美国突然改口，美国中央司令部表示是在国际空域被击落，而伊朗声称无人机是在伊朗空域被击落，双方各执一词。

其三，最重要的一点，美国打不起一场长期战争，如果美国被拖入长期战争中，那么恭喜美国，世界老大的位子可能就保不住了。
