iPhone's data plan glitch

<!-- end left side bar --><!-- story content : start -->I RECENTLY upgraded my standard StarHub mobile plan for the iPhone data plan. However, StarHub delivered the iPhone without updating the data plan in its system. In addition, there was no communication from StarHub that I should not use my iPhone to access data until the upgrade.
Now, I am told that I will have to pay for the data charges based on my previous plan. Why couldn't StarHub update its system before delivering the iPhone instead of having customers pay huge data charges based on their old plans?
