Has anyone thought about buying SA Rand ? Apparently the deposit rate is one of the highest, if not, the highest in the world at the moment. Last year was about 7%, but at the moment it's going at 4.75%.

Thinks its better to avoid putting all your eggs in one basket who knows which country is going to get into trouble. Even Spore might be in trouble :rolleyes:

Not that difficult to find better returns than POSB :D I was passing by a Citibank branch & saw a sign advertising a 3 to 4% on fixed deposites in Aussie dollars.
