International Indian Film Academy awards to be held in Singapore

SINGAPORE: The 13th International Indian Film Academy (IIFA) Weekend and Awards will be held in Singapore from 7 to 9 June.

Kickstarting the IIFA Celebrations were popular Bollywood stars Anil Kapoor of Slumdog Millionaire fame and Bipasha Basu.

Singapore previously hosted the celebrations in 2004.

The International Indian Film Academy and Singapore Tourism Board will jointly organise this year's event.

MediaCorp's Vasantham channel will be the official television station.

IIFA Awards, which is Bollywood's biggest awards show, has been held in various cities around the globe including London, Dubai and Toronto.
