Supriyani, a 24 year old maid from Indonesia, was sentenced to three months in jail today for mistreating her employer’s 16 month old child.
The maid had slapped the child three times and lifted her up by grabbing her head.
The offence happened on October 8 this year when Supriyani had been left alone with the child as the mother had gone to buy groceries.
When the mother returned home, the maid claimed that the child had bruises on her eyes because she was constantly rubbing her eyes.
However upon close inspection, the child’s mother saw what looked like a hand print on the child’s cheek.
She decided to review some CCTV footage which showed the maid slap the child on both the left and right cheek while feeding her.

Later, the maid then slapped the child again on the cheek so hard that she cried until she vomited.
Upon seeing the footage, the mother then contacted her sister who advised her to call the police.
The maid had been working for the family since May and this was her first time working as a domestic worker.
The baby did not suffer any major injuries but now has a small red mar on her left lower eyelid. The judge noted that the way the maid had shaken the baby by the head could have resulted in serious and permanent damage.

my ex maid stole money and asked for forgiveness which was given BUT few months later she stole again! so I tendered the evidence to police who yanked her from Indonesian embassy which she ran off to ...
she got jailed 3 wks incl remand (WTF!!
so never give this sort of bum a second chance!!

For these sort of criminal and violent acts it should be 1 strike and you are out, just can't take the chance of them doing this sort of thing a second time.

That is how children learn to behave in Indonesia. Sinkies should learn to be more open minded and culturally sensitive. We cannot simply impose our values on foreigners.
