In Indonesia, 23-year-old fugitive Riki Halim Levin was finally arrested after a battery acid attack on his girlfriend, Lynia Davega.

According to VIVAnews, Riki was arrested while hiding in his uncle’s house located in Pontianak, West Kalimantan. He had been hiding there for approximately one month.

Riki admitted that the liquid he splashed onto Lynia's face was the battery acid from his motorcycle, which he deliberately kept in a bottle.

He admitted that he sprayed acid on his ex-girlfriend because he was upset with her older brother after he threatened to kill him.

The two had been close and lived together in a dorm room near Lynia's campus.
