Of course, this is hardly a surprise. Years ago I was told this by Jap, Korean, angmoh and Tiong FT co-workers.

Don't even need to apply for PR. Once you're working here as a white collar FT for a couple of years, an invitation letter for PR status would be sent to you automatically. Then it's up to you whether you want to accept or decline the offer.
