SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 22 year-old Indian national. He was detained by security officers after he broke into a dormitory along Woodlands Sector 1.

Police said that early Friday morning, the dormitory's security officers were alerted by dormitory occupants of an intruder in their premises.

Within minutes, they spotted the suspect climbing out of a unit in an attempt to flee.

They managed to subdue him and called the police.

Police said officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division arrived at the scene and arrested the suspect.

Stolen items including items such as cash, netbook and a mobile phone amounting to about S$400, were recovered from the suspect.
