Terrorism has no religion, it’s a wrong interpretation by some people’: Vice President Venkaiah Naidu,” Times Now Digital, November 22, 2020:

New Delhi: Vice President M Venkaiah Naidu on Saturday stressed that no religion preaches terrorism and it is just a wrong interpretation by some people. He, however, said that the world needs to come together to combat terrorism and isolate the nations that sponsor it.

Naidu also expressed concern over the increasing menace of terrorism and appealed to the United Nations (UN) to complete the deliberations and adopt India’s long-pending proposal of the ‘Comprehensive Convention on International Terrorism’.

During a virtual address, the Vice President said, “Terrorism is a menace, it has no religion. No religion preaches terrorism, it’s only wrong interpretation by some people. No country is safe from the scourge of terrorism.”

“The world community must come together not only to isolate nations that sponsor terrorism but also impose sanctions against them. This is need of the hour,” he added….
