In Singapore, when you are old you downgrade..

In U.S., when you are old you upgrade.

How this comes about..???

My son, studying in the States told me that his professor in a friendly chat told him that he has to upgrade as now he is a grandfather and have 3 grandchildren...

He said..on weekends and long holidays, the grandchildren will choose which grandpa to visit and spend the holdiays...the grandpa with the bigger house will get more visits.

So, the grandpa with the bigger house with big garden and swimming pool will get to see their grandchildren more...

So..on the same note, the Singapore grandpa with a much smaller house will get more lonely on weekends and holidays as his grandchildren will not visit him that often becos of the cramped space.

Sinkie grandpas no time for grand kids.........the english speaking physically fit ones are busy working as security guards........the not so fit ones have to roam the neighbourhood to collect cardboard and drink cans.

Yes it is true. Just ask those old folks staying in those studio apartments for old folks. They get no visit from family or friends at all.

Most of the luxury cars in angmo countries are driven by grandpas more than grannies.

Going to die soon might as well enjoy lah.

Is there a problem? Of course not.

Since majority supports low wages for peasants and million dollars salaries for superscaled civil serpants.
