The CIA falsely believed it was 'invincible' in China — here's how its spies were reportedly discovered and killed in one of the biggest blows to the agency

Not that CIA is lax. It's the influx of CECAkroaches into the higher echelons of the organisation which got impressed with glib tongues overlooking poor performance.
Everywhere they go, they ruin the place.

CIA hired too many CECas no wonder!

no worries...CIA and CCP spies are free to roam in Singapore, heck they can even mingle and compare cock size in American club every weekend.

From what I've read the CIA lost many of their agents due to rogue agents selling out info to foreign governments. And the agents that were killed were working in Iran and Russia. No mention of the Jason Bournes in China. In recent Meng Wanzhou case, 2 agents were exchanged for her and it was swept under the rug.

By all accounts, the era of human intelligence (HUMINT) work is over. Much of international spycraft nowadays is done through hacking and electronic surveillance. Human beings have proven to be the weakest link. HUMINT may make great movie plots but it is obsolete in the modern world.
