Apart from Temasek Holdings losing big time on investment in BP shares, there are more severe consequences of BP going under.

If BP goes for Chapter 11 in US, there will be devastating consequences to Singapore. BP used to run one of the largest Oil Refinery in Singapore. Although it has sold its shares to SPC a few years ago, BP is still one of the major player in Singapore's oil industry. If anything happens to BP, Singapore's oil products export will be adversely affected.

I think China Oil will most likely buy up the remaining stake in SRC.
