There are 2 reasons for increasing the population in Singapore

1. To boost the economy according to the gov.
2. To increase the PAP vote count which was denied by the gov

Singapore economy contracted 1.1% according to CNA
Conclusion: First reason deceptive and fallacious. The hard truth for the second reason will be unfold in 2016.
