Immediate priority is to regain lost profits: SMRT's interim CEO Posted: 09 January 2012 by approved Mouthpiece CNA

PEASANTPORE : SMRT's interim fat cat CEO said his immediate priority is to regain lost profits in the rail network.

In his first media interview, Merchant Tan Ek Kia said the way to do that is to "absolutely raise fares annually to maintain a reliable system".

He said the nationalised public transportation cartel is learning lessons from the two disruptions in December. However he did not reveal why he was napping during the years when Saw and her DFS donkeys mismanaged the rail operations.

For example, it is looking at ways to communicate with all commuters more effectively before fare hikes are implemented. More English speaking banglas will be hired during a service disruption.

He gave the assurance that fare hikes to fund improvements will be implemented as soon as they are approved by the Jiat Leow Bee PTC. The present practice of enriching Temasick via dividends will continue.

Merchant Tan said: "I have just taken over after sleeping obediently for many years as Board Director. I see our peasants working very hard and round the clock to prevent mistakes. It is inevitable that some checks will be toned down because of cost cutting and politicking, DFS style. As you are aware, a number of investigations are going on, including our own in SMRT to cover up mismanagement + gabras. But we cannot wait for the reports to be finished. On a continuing basis, our people are undoing Saw and her DFS donkeys' improvements/cost cutting before this Ah Ong ask stupid questions.."

Mouthpiece Channel News Asia understands that SMRT's internal investigation team, led by another sleeping board member defeated lackey candidate (2011 Procedural Elections), Ong YK, will meet on Tuesday to discuss relevant issues raised by Transport Minion No Porn Lui Tuck Yew in an Imperial Court session (朝廷) on Monday.

It is understood that this is a political move to generate publicity for loser Ong. If Ong plays his card well, he be parachuted into a safe GRC in 2016 (see Marboro Tan), else he will take part of the blame for sleeping while Saw and her donkeys run amok.
