If you earn 100,000 baht in Japan

I don't know much about Japan. But a fellow Thai sao sao married a Japanese and told us that the hubby worked as an engineer in Japan and monthly salary was about equivalent of 100K baht.

Is that considered a lot in Japan for an engineer ?

Really ? Then the Japanese must be really afraid that his Thai-in-laws will fleece him. BTW, he is in Hokkaido, not Tokyo. So I'm not sure if the gap is wide.
