This is a very negative way of looking at things. Here is how it should be presented:

When 80 year olds go into hospital many catch pneumonia and die anyway. That's what happened to my mum when she was 83. She went in for an operation, caught pneumonia and came back in a box. Needless to say the operation was a success and it fixed the problem she was admitted for. Unfortunately hospitals are breeding grounds for all sort of bugs and one of them took hold of her and killed her.
I'll do a graph later and everyone will be able to see that it is much ado about nothing when the stats are analysed.
