Gone to the USA
By Tan Dawn Wei

LILLY, a mongrel who was born in Singapore, is running free today among acres of orchard in rural Massachusetts in the United States.

But not that long ago, the dog's life was hardly this perfect.

For at least two years, she lived off scraps of food foraged from a construction site in Kallang. She was then rescued by local animal welfare group, Action For Singapore Dogs (ASD).
