Everything will work out in the end. If it's not working out, it's not the end.

Tioh Boh?

I have a good friend who has 3 to 4 years to live because he has a slow growing cancer. It's not working out now and it won't work out in the end either unless you consider death to be a good outcome or you're some religious nut who thinks he'll have a far better life in heaven.

Death may not be the best outcome but equates to working out to a conclusion.

you should console him, of course not having cancer is better, but really he has time to say goodbye to love one, time to manage financial, to do things he always wanted to

The worse are traffic accident, you go out to get milk and your family never see you again. That is the worse, much worse than cancer.

How come it's not working out in the end? The end is death.. we all will face THIS end sooner or later.
Your friend has a set date, at least he/she has a sort-of set date to put the important things in order, and leave out the trivial ones, no?

The one absolute truth in life.. that we all face.. and know.. is that we will all die.. someday..it is inevitable.
