Woman wheels trolley into LRT train: What's security doing?

First it was a woman with a shopping trolley on the MRT, now another woman seems to be bringing a trolley home on a crowded LRT train. How did the woman get past the gantry without being stopped?

It also appears that some shoppers don't think twice about removing these trolleys from supermarket premises and keep them for personal use.

The woman who was seen pushing a supermarket trolley in the MRT on July 12 was detained by TransCom officers at Buangkok MRT station on the day itself, says SMRT in response to an earlier post.

Two STOMPers had written in to question how the elderly lady managed to get past the MRT gantry and station stuff with such a large item.

According to witnesses, she was shouting and calling people names onboard.

In a statement, SMRT says:

"Investigations show that on July 12, at about 5.50pm, the lady entered Boon Lay MRT Station and travelled to Outram Park MRT Station, where she transferred to the North-East line.

"She was later detained by Public Transport Security Command (TransCom) officers at Buangkok MRT Station.

"Under the Rapid Transit Systems Regulations, commuters are not allowed to transport bulky items that would inconvenience others who are using the system.

"Offenders may be fined up to $500 for flouting the rules".

Look carefully at the train carriage door, not all of them have an identification to refer to & if you press the button, you could be fined $5,000. Where are the NEL or SMRT staff's that use to patrol the lenghth of the train? When the N.E.L started you could see the staff regularly patrol the entire length of the train, nowadys, very seldom. What if this woman is paid by the terrorists to test the system, then alll are sleeping on the job....these are the duds the old man should clean up before he go & meet his maker...

Obviously they have not seen the staff at the MRT stations. They are all dark skins. I am sure some are also Pinay FTs. They probably let them thru because they karki nan.
