I want to re-raise questions long ago raised before.
Its only this STRIKE by foreigners that cast could make sinkies wake up.
I am an IT consultant citizen. In my last 10 years of work, I have consistently been on contracts even though I want a permanent job.
10 odd years of experience is significant experience. Yet, employers try to give contract positions as many as possible. Its to their advantage. Once they see your last job is a contract, they continue to offer only contracts.
As Opposition supporters kenna marked to be given only contracts?
Every project i go to, large MNCs and even government related companies, I am always THE ONLY Sinkie and the rest 90% are all foreigners like from India and Philippines.
My point is, this Extreme Situation over the last 10 odd years has given the market a signal that Foreigners dominate the IT market. Sinkies are perceived to be incompetent in IT.
Sg is an extreme example of pro business gov policies.
To the extent that now, many IT managers are Foreigners and they prefer to hire their own kind.
My colleagues Bully me because they know what the situation is like in Singapore. Sinkies are minority in IT departments. These are from ethnically, culturally strong large countries like Philippines, India or China.
They do not integrate with sinkies. Their National Identities are stronger and they form Enclaves. They help themselves only. With recent perception of reduced influx, they want to show sinkie bad.
