30 Jan – T-ARA's member Hwa-young's wardrobe malfunction scandal has caused an uproar for viewers who watched the 29 January broadcast of SBS' "Inkigayo".
According to Koreaboo website, the malfunction happened during the performance of "Lovey Dovey" on the program when Hwa-young accidentally exposed her breast in the middle of her dance solo. A screen cap of the incident has since been circulating around the web via various Korean media portals and SNS services like Twitter and Tumblr.
Since the accident, T-ARA's agency, Core Contents Media has released an official statement, "Because of Hwa-young's young age, she was very shocked and frightened by the event. Even now, she remains very shocked. The incident was purely accidental as it happened due to the loosening of the tapes that held the microphone wires under her outfit".
They added, "T-ARA members are more fixated now on trying to make Hwa-young feel at ease."

T-ara is a top group in South Korea rivaling SNSD in popularity, though not as popular worldwide as SNSD but each televised performance of T-ara would be up in Youtube in less then a few hours, with a worldwide audience in hundreds of thousands. Hwa-young, 19 years old rapper, has just joined the group around a year ago as a new member.

Currently her elder twin sister (pictured above left) is staying with Hwayoung to comfort her.
