More than one hundred firefighters in New York City battled a huge fire at
a seven story apartment building on Thursday (July 26).
The apartment building is in New York's Brooklyn borough and housed 115
apartments.
Flames and thick smoke could be seen for blocks as firefighters stood on
ladders to put out the blaze.
According to the fire department, 23 firefighters were hurt while putting
out the fire, most suffering from heat exhaustion. They are expected to
be okay.
