Original Putin said that to do it, personally get 10 billion big orders, S400 missiles to be sold to American allies?
2019-10-16 02:41

Putin recently visited Saudi Arabia and received high-standard hospitality in Saudi Arabia. When Putin arrived at the Riyadh Palace, the Saudi King and the Crown Prince stood at the door and prepared a luxurious banquet for Putin. What is even more striking is that after Putin and the Saudi King communicated, the two sides agreed to sign a series of cooperation agreements and memoranda covering various fields such as communication, energy, military, aerospace cooperation, and the value is close to one hundred. One hundred million U.S. dollars. Apparently, Putin’s trip has been fruitful. As a “Middle East local tycoon”, Saudi Arabia may provide more cooperation opportunities for Russia in the future.

It is worth noting that Putin’s visit time node is very special, because recently, the US NATO ally Turkey launched an action against the Kurdish armed forces in northern Syria. Although the US military also fought side by side with the Kurdish armed forces, it faced Turkey. The army, the United States, chose to withdraw the army, thus causing panic among allies, and allies in the United States are worried that they will also suffer the fate of Kurdish armed forces in the future. Saudi Arabia is an important ally of the United States in the Middle East. Many of the US weapons and equipment are exported to Saudi Arabia, but now Saudi Arabia has also begun to cooperate with Russia. This is enough to see that the situation is changing quietly.

Not long ago, the Saudi oil facility was attacked by drones and cruise missiles. As a result, the US "Patriot" air defense missile system introduced by Saudi Arabia failed to protect these facilities. Putin suggested that Riyadh should make a "wise decision". That is, choose to buy an air defense missile system from Russia. This is not the first time Putin has sold weapons to US allies. Turkey has previously purchased the S400 air defense missile system from Russia and has delivered it. In order to retaliate against Turkey, the United States also suspended the supply of F35 fighters, but Turkey's response is to consider the Russian Su 35 and Su 57 and other models to replace.

Since the S400 air defense missile system can be sold to Turkey, it can naturally be sold to Saudi Arabia. Putin suggested Saudi Arabia before. Will this be said to be done this time to sell the S400 air defense missile system to Saudi Arabia? It seems that this possibility exists. As stated earlier, the cooperation agreements and memoranda signed between Russia and Saudi Arabia include the field of military technology. Since it covers the military field, Putin is likely to propose to Saudi Arabia the introduction of the S400 air defense missile system. Saudi Arabia sees that the United States is becoming increasingly unreliable, and the "Patriot" anti-missile equipment is equally unreliable, so it may also consider cooperating with Russia in related areas.

Of course, the specific situation also needs to see how Russia will communicate with Saudi Arabia. If Russia can win the Saudi Arabian army to buy local tyrants, then the proceeds will be very large, Saudi Arabia has always bought a lot of weapons, the United States has signed a military procurement cooperation agreement with Saudi Arabia worth more than 100 billion US dollars, Russian weapons sold to Saudi Arabia, profitable The opportunity is also great. Even if Russia can't open the Saudi weapons market in a short period of time, it can also further disintegrate the US alliance through dialogue with Saudi Arabia, and it will also help Russia to exert greater influence in the Middle East. In general, Putin’s visit this time is expected to yield many benefits, and he can also gain more advantages in the geostrategic game with the United States. Go back to Sohu and see more
