Supporters of US President-elect Donald Trump are calling to boycott PepsiCo products because of comments made by the head of the company.
After congratulating Trump on his victory in an interview last week for the New York Times Dealbook, Indra Nooyi said “all” her staff were “mourning” and “crying” following the election result. She added that she felt it necessary to reassure some of them who were concerned about their safety.

Commenting on leaked audio of Trump privately talking to Billy Bush, the former anchor of the Access Hollywood show, Nooyi said, “I don’t think there’s a place for that kind of language in any part of society - not in locker rooms, not in football players’ homes, not in any place. If we don’t nip it in the bud, this is going to be lethal force that’s going to take over society.”

The remarks angered some Trump supporters, particularly the criticism of the incoming president over his alleged improper behavior toward women. They began a campaign to boycott PepsiCo products on Twitter with the hashtag #boycottpepsi.

A number of websites quoted CEO Indra Nooyi as telling Trump supporters to “take their business elsewhere” – a comment she has denied.

The company acknowledged the CEO “misspoke” at one point by saying that “all” employees were crying and mourning.

PepsiCo stock has fallen two percent since the interview was published, with boycott supporters claiming credit for the price drop.

Justice for Men and Boys (and the Women Who Love Them) - J4MB - is a British political party which advocates for men's and boys' rights and opposes feminism.

The party was founded in 2013,[1][2] and is led by retired businessman, and former Conservative Party consultant, Mike Buchanan.[3] He is the author of 10 books, a number of them concerned with gender politics, most recently: Feminism: The Ugly Truth.

J4MB is the only political party in the English-speaking world campaigning for the human rights of men and boys on many fronts. It is also the only anti-feminist political party in the English-speaking world[3] and has become the subject of controversy in the British media, having been covered in articles[4][5][6][7][8][9] and in television,[10] radio[11] and print[3][12] interviews. This led to the commissioning of Mike Buchanan as a columnist by the International Business Times, the relationship was terminated because his submitted (but unpublished) articles courted controversy,[13] The two articles which were published, were on the subject of male suicide[14] and female representation in corporate boardrooms.[15]

The party also issues awards for “lying feminist of the month”, “toxic feminist of the month” and “whiny feminist of the month” and includes a link to an article entitled "13 reasons women lie about being raped" on its website.[16]

In its 2015 general election manifesto,[17] the party explored twenty areas in which the human rights of men and boys in the UK are being violated.[10]

The party co-hosted the second International Conference on Men's Issues [18] in London, between 8-10 July 2016 in association with A Voice for Men.

Philip Davies MP, a member of the Justice Select Committee, spoke to the conference asserting that the criminal justice system favours women's over men's rights. However, Jenny Earle, director of Prison Reform Trust’s programme for reducing women’s imprisonment, said: “The evidence is not that women are treated more leniently. In fact they are twice as likely as men to receive a custodial sentence for a first offence, and the main offence for which women are imprisoned is theft and shoplifting.”[16]

In response, Mike Buchanan points to analysis which shows that if British men were treated as leniently as British women in sentencing terms, five out of every six men currently in British prisons would not be there.[19]

The party stood for election for the first time at the 2015 general election, with two candidates. Party leader Mike Buchanan stood in Ashfield against the Shadow Minister for Women and Equalities, Gloria De Piero. Buchanan came last with 153 votes out of 47,409 cast. Ray Barry stood in Broxtowe and also came last with 63 votes out of 53,440 cast.[20]

On 28th September 2016, Mike Buchanan announced his intention to stand against Prime Minister, Theresa May, in her Maidenhead constituency in the 2020 general election.[21]
