HP unveils 11.6-inch Pavilion x2 with Pentium CPU

Hewlett-Packard quietly rolled out an 11.6-inch Pavilion x2 11t hybrid with a Pentium N3510 processor. This solution reportedly stands out among all the other hybrids on the market because it's one of the first to use that specific Pentium processor.

The Pentium N3510 is based on the same Silvermont architecture as Intel's Atom "Bay Trail" chips used in the Dell Venue 8 Pro and Asus Transformer Pad T100. However, the 22nm Pentium processor should be noticeably faster than the Atom chips; it's a low-power, moderate performance chip with a TDP of 7.5 watts and an SDP of 4.5 watts.

As for the other specs, the Pavilion x2 11t sports an 11.6-inch LED-lit screen with a 1366 x 768 resolution. Backing this screen is the Pentium processor, 4 GB of DDR3 memory, and a 3-cell Lithium Ion battery. The attachable keyboard base adds an additional 2-cell Lithium Ion battery, promising 8 hours and 45 minutes of life on a single charge. (HP is unclear on whether that's with or without the keyboard base.)

The specs also reveal a 64 GB SSD by default, and a 128 GB SSD as one of the customization options. Customers can also choose to have single-band or double-band Wireless N and Bluetooth connectivity. There's also one USB 3.0 port, one USB 2.0 port, HDMI output, a headphone/microphone combo jack, an HP TrueVision Full HD webcam and integrated microphone, and four Beats Audio speakers.
