STOMPer Keet was amused by this driver, who resorted to tying waterproof sheets to his car with raffia string, presumably in event of another flood.

Said the STOMPer:

"Went over to a friend's place and managed to see this interesting flood prevention method.

"Flood no more!"

another workable solution is to use sandbags to surround your car .....:(

Stupisd sinkie.
Thw water will slip thru. That cover are not 100%water proof. Find alternative parking lot is the best solution.

torrential rains & frequent flooding is suggesting a shift in the consumer mkt. now, car salesmen r considering switching to selling seacrafts ie: jetski, sampan, tongkang, canoe, kayak, yacht etc.

wrap the car in plastic wont make any difference, cos it's still not water proof.

This won't work as long as the canvas is not water-tight/proof.

I park my car onto a float-able platform just like a barge which will float when water level rises. Very safe....only if the flood water do not rise too high that the roof of my car hits the ceiling of the carpark .
