I have been cheated several times by Maid agencies for providing underaged gals from Indon or Philippines, they are either inexperienced , with no knowledge of housework let alone cooking . Only come with the idea that they can work in 3 room HDB flat with free food,lodging and enjoy life. Most of those I have been recommended are below 17 years and are still kids , only want to play ...then I asked for above 25 and were given 30 plus , already too lazy to work , very frustrating to keep getting replacements and paying each time there's a change. Go to other agencies , the whole process repeats itself , upfront money $2400, maid cant work , ask fro change must wait 1 month , how to tahan for 1 month when they cant work and give trouble? Very stressed when caught in such situation , keep paying but never get a decent maid , agencies just milk us , maid does not fit description and cant do job , they avoid discussions on my complaints instead , suggest counsel , but most times threatened them to continue work but maid already cant change only wants to find an easier job.
I now wish to try a recommendation from a business friend in Indonesia who is willing to transfer one of his good maids ( he has several in Indo ) but want to find out how to apply for her to come in. Check with agency here and they want fee even higher than getting maid from their pool . Hope the MOM will allow us to apply without fuss so that we dont go through Maid agencies to be cheated.
