My friend run a small seafood stall. In order to cater to Muslim, he applied for Halal cert. It is just a food stall and he said he paid ALMOST $1,000 a year.
If a small hawker stall paid $1,000.. Can u imagine how much McDonald's, Kentucky, Hotel, Restaurants and etc paid???
Plus the Halal stamp on each pack of instant noodle, bread and etc... If MUIS is the authority, can you image how many millions collected by them a year...
WHERE DID ALL THESE MONEY GO TO????
