Something i never understood is how are forigeners able to get a flat in sinkieland so easily, yet its so difficult for local born sinkies to get a flat?

It's so difficult for local born sinkies to get a flat, besides the prohibitive cost, there's also a long waiting time, at least 5 years of waiting time for a local sinkie to get a flat. And thats if they are lucky enough to get a bid for a flat, it isn't guaranteed either.

Whereas forigens are able to get a flat, on the fly the moment they arrived in sinkieland without going through the long waiting time and bid process.

they are landlords. foreigners are mostly rental tenants. condos and hdb flats are subletted 6.9 times until they becum slums. that’s the state of the housing market in sg. 69% of the condos i visited are tenanted and subletted. some of them squeeze 6.9 sub-tenants into 2 bedrooms and partition the living room into 2 more rooms.
