Reminder: if you really 'own' a HDB flat, you wouldn't need to hear the bitching from a town council about corridor clutter etc. You could put whatever you want, no one will bother you. In fact, you could also keep out anyone, unless there is a legitimate search warrant involved.

It's just a 99-year lease, with claims of generous 'subsidies' that you must accept by faith without knowing the actual costs of constructing them.
