it’s the 1st time that governor nuisance, oops newsom, mentions california as a “nation-state”, and it raises both eyebrows and erections. the blue states on both coasts, including the east coast, want to coordinate a relaxation of the lockdown as they know indefinite lockdowns are untenable for the long term, economically and politically. their supporters (those who live on paycheck to paycheck) are suffering and diving into poverty and destitution. they have to do something to alleviate the despair. the moment numbers trend down they declare good news and can’t wait to undo the damage. meanwhile, many of the red states in the heartlands are holding their own without lockdowns. however, a meat processing town in south dakota just reported hundreds of workers falling sick. it’s a matter of time less populated and less dense red states will be infected. and perhaps that’s inevitable, and the best solution is to let it happen and allow farmers, ranchers, and cowboys develop herd immunity.

as for schools, they will open with some conditions: staggered times and or days for students to attend classes in order to prevent all from showing up at the same time. this will also reduce class sizes and space out students per class. “deep” sanitizing and cleaning of schools after each day’s sessions.
