SINGAPORE : Singapore's preparations for next week's crucial Asian Cup qualifier against Iran did not go well.
They lost 1-4 to Oman at the Bishan stadium on Thursday, in one of two friendlies arranged ahead of the Iran game.
The two teams had earlier played to a goalless draw when they met on Monday.
But in the second tie, the host were down by three goals in the first half, with the visitors scoring first in the 15th minute through Fawzi Basher.
Five minutes later, Oman were two up, thanks to Yaqoob AbdullKareem, and their third came in the 34th minute, courtesy of Husain Ali.
Singapore's misery continued in the second half when Oman increased their lead to four goals.
Indra Sahdan scored a consolation goal for the hosts in the 76th minute. - CNA/ms
