Doesn't really matter. Hong Kong died in 1997. Most of the 'Hongkies' you see today are trashy Tiongs transplanted from mainland China.

And as the sanctions and Cold War 2.0 continue, Hong Kong will become economically irrelevant. Why do you think some (not all) of the Hongkies fled here with their money?
