"(NaturalNews) Just because those cute little bear-shaped bottles at the grocery store say "honey" on them does not necessarily mean that they actually contain honey. A comprehensive investigation conducted by Food Safety News (FSN) has found that the vast majority of so-called honey products sold at grocery stores, big box stores, drug stores, and restaurants do not contain any pollen, which means they are not real honey."

"Bryant found that 76 percent of "honey" samples purchased from major grocery store chains like Kroger and Safeway, and 77 percent of samples purchased from big box chains like Sam's Club and Wal-Mart, did not contain any pollen. Even worse were "honey" samples taken from drug stores like Walgreens and CVS, and fast food restaurants like McDonald's and KFC, 100 percent of which were found to contain not a trace of pollen."

It is, you might think, one of nature’s purest delicacies. But not for the labelling police of the EU.

Under new regulations, jars of honey will have to be marked ‘contains pollen’ – a move experts have branded ludicrous, and say could put some British beekeepers out of business.

It will also have to undergo expensive tests to prove it does not contain unauthorised genetically modified pollen.

Until now, honey had always been considered an entirely unadulterated product for the purposes of food labelling.

What is our Ministry Of Trade and Industry and NEA doing to ensure Singaporeans get real honey instead of concentrated fructose? Where did our honey originate from? China most likely since there seems to be cheaper honey available nowadays.

if must have pollens then can called honey , without the pollens what is it ?
for a moment i thought you discovered that those honey selling in the shops are only sweetened paste.

"Pollen" is a non countable noun. You do not add an "s" to make it plural.

You are back!. These people don't even know how to count their toes, least of all differentiate between tooth from teeth, advise from advise, sheep from sheep.:D

You did not read the links otherwise you would not have asked. Without the pollen, the honey is about the same as liquid sugar, hence not similar to raw honey.

i am sad that i am cheated by those food companies.
i want only real honey, because they have antibotic properties.
