Honda's Civic coupe has come a long way. Started off as an econo-box gas-sipper, a dull city runabout when first released, it has since grown to become a sporty family sedan, although in the compact category, it has big car features, standards, and sports car performance. Its two-door variant has become a favourite among the fast and furious company, and as a sougth-after model, is among one of the models most selected by auto-thieves in the car-market. 0-to 100 in 1.9 seconds!!! That matches the best exotic supercars now available to the select ultra-rich as well.
Looks like the Honda Civic, with the launch of its latest model, will be setting new standards again. Well done Honda!
Cheers!

Naturally, this one’s a little different than the one you’ll soon be able to buy at your local Honda dealer. We don’t know what exactly is under the hood, but Honda says the race-ready Civic coupe pumps out “more than” 600 horsepower. It can also do the zero-to-100 km/h sprint in a scant 1.9 second and handle a 70-foot table top jump seven ways until Sunday.
Honda doesn’t outright say it, but expect the car to be all-wheel-drive; 600+ horsepower just seems far too much for the front axle of a GRC car to handle.
The GRC-spec Honda Civic coupe is set to debut on May 21 at a Global RallyCross event in Phoenix, Ariz. Sweden’s Sebastian Eriksson and Finland’s Joni Wiman will be behind the wheel.
