Hokkien province Quanzhou city has 41 temples above 1000 years old and 15 temples that are almost 1000 years old.

Besides the almost 60 temples that are near 1000 years old and above, there are many more temples that are 400, 500, 600 and 700 years old!
Who wants to call hokkiens tua pow about Hokkien heritage being out of this world? Not just the one and only one city in China that has so many ancient temples of various religions together, but one and only one in the world!

many of these temples are shrines to memorialize the massive deaths from refugees and escapees who ran away from wars and famine in the north. in other words they escaped to fuckien province to die. it’s a tombstone and cemetery province.
