【本報綜合報道】《逃犯條例》風波未息，武警部隊連日在深圳集結。有外媒拍到武警周五繼續操練，令外界關注北京會否軍事介入香港局勢。有內地軍事評論員形容，目前在深圳集結的裝備已達「準軍事部隊」規格，可見的裝備包括裝甲車、水炮車、推土機。
多家外媒連日來拍到大量武警及軍車停泊於深圳春繭體育館。有內地軍事評論員認為，這些武警均有備而來，明顯針對香港示威浪潮。裝備中有推土機，是典型的「排障」裝備；另有吊臂車，當遇上路面車輛堵塞或水泥屏障，連推土機都無法應付時，便用吊臂清除。部隊亦帶備照明、播音器、水炮、攝錄機等工具，以方便取證。
讀者睹解放軍車駛經佐敦道
在此敏感時刻，本報接獲讀者胡小姐報料，指周三早上六時十五分左右在佐敦道、上海街交界，看見有七至八輛解放軍軍車沿佐敦道經過，當時見軍車上坐滿軍人，正往槍會山軍營及解放軍醫院方向駛去。但據了解，解放軍駐港部隊軍車近日的進出活動，屬正常防務工作。
中國駐德國大使吳懇周四受訪時表示，自香港主權移交中國，解放軍已在香港駐軍，中國軍隊和武警在領土內調動亦屬正常。他指港人在殖民地時期也沒有集會權、選舉權等，認為港人現時享受的民主權利較回歸前更多，亦提到假如香港局勢失控，中央政府將會提供協助。

He pointed out that Hong Kong people did not have the right to assembly and the right to vote during the colonial period. They believed that the Hong Kong people now enjoy more democratic rights than before the reunification.
