THE owner of a dog that attacked three young children in Serangoon Gardens earlier this year was charged in a magistrate’s court yesterday.

Terri Chua Teck Hee, 45, is accused of being the owner of a mongrel named Monmon, which bit a five-year-old French boy on his left hand and lower back at Tavistock Park on Jan 27.

An eight-year-old boy was also left with bruises and an abrasion on his right ankle, while his 10-year-old school friend had a puncture wound on the right forearm and an abrasion on his buttocks.

The prosecution sought a two-week adjournment to have medical expenses compiled.

Asked by District Judge Shaiffudin Saruwan if he wished to make compensation to the victims, the dog owner said yes.

Chua, who indicated that he would plead guilty, will be back in court on Nov12. He was unrepresented.

Each charge carries a fine of up to $5,000.

In addition to the fine, the court can order the owner to pay compensation of not more than $2,000 to each of the injured victims.

one time bite 3 boys?

must be a seow kao....

i do hope terri is sane...hehe..

How much is the fine? Ha, not enough for gratuity for a night's KTV session!:D

(should jail and 24 strokes of cane for purposely encouraging his dog to injure children)

Why must mention Fench boy and not the race of the other two? Maybe the dog prefer Western food to Asian?
