HillCrest residents don't like NJC students? What do you understand by the following screen captures?

Ladies and gentlemen, I think we have found another ethnic expat enclave in Sinkieland. What Melville Park is to Ah Nehs, Hillcrest is to the Ang Mohs.

Seems like too many ang mohs are allowed to buy/rent property in Sinkieland and then get all haughty in their precious little gated communities.

this is the first time i heard people compare the richness of their neighbourhood to the richness of a school,are u serious?if u telling me hillcrest is full of the smartest,mensa type people and njc is not worthy to loiter around hillcrest,thats understandable.

I think it's just residents don't like loud students and all students in groups will be loud regardless of which school. Put enough rjc students together and they can get fucking annoying. Nobody gives a fuck what language they speak.

It's possible that hillcrest residents are foreigners that don't like ppl speaking singlish although we have sinkies that don't like that either.

You guys obviously don't live in Hillcrest or haven't even been there. It is a middle class estate, part of the Watten area, comprising mainly freehold landed property. While some are rented out to ang mohs, the majority of the residents are locals.

The place is infested by the families of ACS (& MGS) students and alumni. Hence the obnoxious, snobbish behaviour exhibited above. These cretins don't know that NJC is the oldest and one of the most prestigious JCs in S'pore. So good that old fart sent his daughter and sons there. These morons don't realize that their beloved laggard ACJC never had and never will have a hell's chance of a whiff at emulating NJC's results and the 2 generations of sterling S'poreans (save old fart's progeny) it has produced.

Immature ACSians will never understand that the shallowest people in this world are those that think money buys you class and respect.

FYI. When NJC first opened the star pupil was LHL. In fact many that attentded NJC were sons & daughters of the gov't elites .

Are MGS girls really that obnoxious? Back in the day I knew some MGS girls who were cute and friendly with no airs about them. Nanyang girls were too conservative, and the stuck up princesses were usually from St Nick and RGS. SCGS girls were a mixed bunch.

Snobs and Christian prudes, generally. Of course, as elsewhere, there are decent ones too. But ACS guys are far more obnoxious than the MGS gals.

Give me convent girls anytime, fucked-up Chinese notwithstanding. SCGS girls are generally easygoing and non-judgmental, save for a few tau ones. The RGS girls in my time may be academically strong, but most were from neighbourhood schools and quite down-to-earth. Problem is a lot of them were quite bookish and square, but you do get the fun-loving and wild ones in the lower classes. (I remember this RGS model, Helena Lim, who'd go around braless even on the sports track.) St Nicks are a mixed bunch, ranging from angmophile SPGs to tenang pai Chinese helicotters to truly bilingual, bicultural gems.
